My name is Thomas Evan Lecklider and all my life I've gotten mail from people who rather egregiously butcher my last name. I've gotten Leichlighter, Leklidder, Lechlider, Lecklighter, Lecklidder etc. Too many.

Lecklider is pronounced leck-(like "luck" with the "e" of "bread")-li-(just like "lie")-der-(like "Tyler Durden") and is actually fairly phonetically spelled. All the sounds are there, no hidden silent H's or K sounds made by myserious CH's.

This /Lei?[ck|k|ch]li[d|ch|dd]er/ is a close approximation to the variations I've seen on my last name represented as a Regular Expression. Unfortunately, that's a little long so I've opted for the more general, less encapsulating, but still awesome /Lei?c?[k|h]lider/ to bandy about.
